The Paso Posse team was first
assembled in late 2003. It was composed of a small, hand-picked
group of racers who had all raced with each other at one time
or another during the previous 20 years. These fuel car veterans
had grown tired of the rigorous demands of the NHRA circuit,
but they hadnt lost their desire to race. When they were
introduced to the revived front engine top fuel circuit their
flames of desire found a viable outlet for their collective talents.
By the spring of 2004 the team was on the track with a new operation.
The Paso Posse is as serious
about their racing as any team on any circuit, but there are
times when you might think otherwise. As a group that has truly
been there, and done that they now place their desire
to win on an equal footing with their insistence to have fun.
Win, lose, or draw, these guys squeeze more fun out of a barrel
of nitro than any team in the pits. But you also dont want
to take their jovial attitude lightly. When the Posse comes to
the starting line they are all business. |
