Harris Racing has long considered
Rocky Mountain Raceway their "home track" and during
the 2006 season the Nitro Thunder cars made three appearances
between June and August at this state-of-the-art facility. Since
these were not open competition appearances there are no race
reports per se. So, we have taken selected shots from all three
events to make this a collection of Rocky Mountain highs.

The pace at match races is slower
than competition events so the crew can work at a more relaxed
pace.
At one event "Flathead Jack"
brought his dual engine dragster to Utah and Harris made some
exhibition runs for the fans.
The August 5th event featured
a faster/son match race with Jack in the funny car and Brett
in the Top Fuel dragster.

The dragster was, is and always
will be the quicker and faster of the two cars but to see both
Nitro Thunder fuel cars side by side brought the crowd to their
feet.
The June event had Brett Harris
match racing Mendy Fry, the only female driver licensed in Nostalgia
Top Fuel. Brett took the best of three shoot out.
